We've made it across the country! We've done a few weeks of house/dog sitting! Now we are finally at the new place! But our former landlords have wildly overcharged us for our last month's rent (was supposed to be just half a month, but they charged us the whole month), our stuff isn't here yet so we're still living off of what fits in 2 suitcases, & I am still exhausted. I wish our things would arrive. I would like to have more than three t shirts again; I used most of my suitcase space for art supplies. So glad this place is furnished or we would be sleeping on the floor (wouldn't be the first time that's happened!) But we've done our first bit of baking (cookies from store-bought dough) and our first impromptu dance in the kitchen while the cookies baked (Soup Is Good Food by the Dead Kennedys) so yeah, we live here now.
Anyway, I just realized how many parentheses I'm using. Obviously I am too low on spoons to write cohesively at the moment. I wanted to write about artists like Kelly M O'Brien or Jon Foreman, but that will have to wait for another day. If you miss me too much, you can always read my old articles here or find me on Ko-Fi!

It's (mostly) over! We're (sort of) here! We're going to be living out of our suitcases for a few weeks until the rest of our stuff catches up, but I get to stay in one place for a while & build up my spoon supply again. Then our stuff gets here & I get to exhaust myself again moving into a new place... It's a never ending cycle. For now, though, we have a chance to breathe.
